Services for Children

Early intervention

Services for children 2-4 who demonstrate problems with their speech and/or language skills. Interventions are provided to help parents to help their children.

Speech sound intervention

For children who have difficulty producing sounds correctly. Interventions focus on articulation (producing individual speech sounds correctly) and phonological interventions (producing all parts of a word correctly).

Language intervention

For children who have difficulty understanding what is said to them or have a hard time making themselves understood by others. Interventions include word finding, increasing vocabulary, forming sentences, understanding vocabulary as well as understanding directions.

Social communication intervention

For children who have difficulty understanding how to interact with others. Interventions may focus on understanding and following the rules of a game, how to take turns when talking to others or understanding social cues.
