A new Mascot, Social Media, and IT

Meet Franklin, LowKey Speech’s lovable Bernese Mountain Dog and unofficial four-legged member of the team! With his big paws, fluffy coat, and larger-than-life personality, Franklin takes his responsibilities very seriously, especially when those responsibilities involve supervising meetings, requesting snacks, and making sure nobody works too long without a break.

Colorful comic-book collage featuring Franklin, a Bernese Mountain Dog, in four playful poses. He appears both as himself wearing a purple collar with a yellow “F” tag and as a superhero wearing a purple-and-green costume, mask, cape, and “F” emblem. The background features energetic purple and green comic-style bursts, halftone patterns, and paw prints.

Franklin may not have his CCC-SLP, but he’s an expert in a few areas of his own: boosting morale, encouraging movement, listening without interrupting, and reminding everyone that sometimes the best way to handle a stressful day is with a wagging tail and a little fun.

And when LowKey needs a little extra help? Franklin is always ready to trade his collar for a cape and become our very own Super Franklin. His powers include fighting boring days, spreading smiles, and reminding us that every great team needs a loyal sidekick.

Comic-book-style split image showing a bearded LowKey Speech team member working in two technology roles. On the left, he creates social media content on a laptop and multiple monitors in a colorful LowKey Speech workspace. On the right, he wears a headset while providing IT support at a computer workstation. A vibrant purple, green, yellow, and blue comic-book border frames both scenes.

What happens when the person helping keep the technology running is also the person creating social media content? At LowKey Speech, apparently it means having a lot of tabs open. One minute I’m designing graphics, editing posts, and trying to figure out what we should share next. The next minute, I’m troubleshooting technology, answering questions, and discovering that turning it off and back on really does solve an unreasonable number of problems

Whether I’m in Social Media Mode or IT Mode, the goal is pretty much the same: support the LowKey team and help keep things moving forward. And, of course, Franklin is always nearby providing his own unique brand of technical assistance, which mostly consists of supervision, moral support, and determining whether any part of the problem can be solved with treats. Different tasks, same mission, and somehow it all comes together to help LowKey Speech connect, communicate, and make a difference.

Okay, so there may have been a slight exaggeration about all those open tabs. Our IT guy actually prefers keeping those tabs under control, but he has dropped the ball a little when it comes to LowKey Speech’s social media.

Between a guys’ trip last month and a little vacation coming up, some of our social media posts have been delayed. You can also expect a short break from posts at the end of October and beginning of November while he takes some time away.

But while our social media may occasionally take a vacation, the quality service at LowKey Speech never does! Our team remains committed to providing dependable, personalized speech and language services and supporting the individuals, families, and schools we serve.

So, if things seem a little quiet online, don’t worry, we’re still hard at work behind the scenes. Social media might take a break, but LowKey Speech’s commitment to quality service never does!
